My father is also a Large Animal Vet. By joining him during work in the farms of my region, I fell in love with this world, that I began to experience from a young age. 25 years ago my family decided to start managing a farm with around 60 milking cows and I have actively participated in the work on the farm. After graduating from high school in 2012, I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and immediately started working in the Large Animal sector alongside more experienced veterinarians. This way I was able to learn the job, especially regarding gynecology. After traveling to New Zealand last year, I decided to have another experience abroad to be able to see different realities and improve professionally.
Professional Experience / Education
I've lived and worked on a farm since I was born, During my life I have practiced almost all jobs involving farm animals, so I can shear sheep, milk cows, make cheese, etc. I have always thought that to be a good veterinarian you must first be a good farmer, to understand what they really need.
After the high school, it was for me a natural decision to choose veterinary school. I graduated in 2019, while I was yet practicing as a veterinarian with my father. While working as a vet in Italy I became very specialized into reproductive health and management. During the last few months I decided to try to gain experience abroad to learn about different farming realities.
Qualification
During my life I had traveled a lot, and so I could learn different languages. I can speak English quite good, and also my German is not too bad ( I need to practice it a little bit). I am very quick to learn and understand thing and I have a good ability to adapt to different situations. I really enjoy working with animals. and especially with farmers, being one of them
Notes / Comments
I would like to work in a veterinary team where I can learn as much as possible from my senior colleagues and share knowledge and discussions with younger colleagues. It's not the place that's important to me but the people with whom I share the work.
