Our client is a friendly, private small animal clinic in south-west Germany. The veterinary owner is supported by a dynamic team of over 160 employees. Among the more than 50 veterinarians, there are several diplomates in internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology and neurology. There are also highly qualified experts in small animal surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, ENT and small & domestic animals. The atmosphere among colleagues, from trainees to diplomates, is informal, international and uncomplicated. Consultations, operations and station are managed with a high level of professional commitment and a pleasant, human touch.

Job Description

• As a specialist in small animal neurology, you will be an important member of the clinic's team of veterinary experts and part of the neurology department, which will have two specialists in future.
• You will conduct neurological consultations independently and on your own responsibility and will be the first point of contact for pet owners, colleagues and referring veterinarians for all neurological issues.
• You will work particularly closely with internists and surgeons. You will perform operations yourself or interact routinely with the relevant colleagues.
• The wide-ranging use of state-of-the-art internal and external diagnostics, including the latest imaging techniques, enables professional diagnosis and targeted treatment.
• You will make full use of the medical possibilities and establish new standards in consultation with your colleagues.
• By designing and implementing further training courses for all clinic staff, you will enrich their everyday lives both professionally and personally.
• With your confident and competent manner, you will become an important representative of the clinic.
• Your supervisor is the clinic manager.

Requirements

• To enjoy working with colleagues and pet owners.
• Veterinary degree and several years of practical experience in the clinical field at a veterinary faculty or private veterinary clinic.
• Ideally, completed training as a specialist veterinarian, completed residency or diplomate status.
• A personal focus on medical internal neurology is welcome but not a prerequisite.
• Independent work and a solid knowledge of imaging techniques are required.
• Motivation and passion to constantly deepen your specialist neurological knowledge and keep up to date with the latest scientific developments.
• You are interested in long term employment and continuous professional development.
