Introduction / About me

I am Anna Mária Vásárhelyi, , a new graduate veterinarian from Hungary. I am interested in job opportunities abroad. Throughout my life, I have been exposed to the responsible care of various animals, I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, turtles and fish. I am deeply immersed in the world of horses, having actively ridden for years. I love animals very much, I like to tend to them and participate in their treatment and care. I have applied the knowledge I have gained at the university and beyond to making sure the care of my family’s and my own animals receive is as good as possible for years. Currently I live with two dogs and I am also interested in farm anilmal medicine. I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

SKILLS MY PERSPECTIVE I am committed to ensuring that all animals are kept and fed according to their needs for optimal health and disease prevention. That is why I have been feeding my own dogs a raw diet that I have prepared for them since they were puppies. I am constantly expanding my knowledge in this field, regularly reading books and articles, and I have also participated in international webinars on the subject. COMPUTER SKILLS In addition to creating and editing Word documents and spreadsheets, I have also worked with with multiple statistical and record keeping systems. I can quickly learn to use any computer program. LANGUAGES In autumn 2022, I successfully passed my professional English language exam. In the last two years, as a student, I became involved in the work of the university clinics, where Hungarian and foreign students work together. My language skills were a great help, as I translated for my classmates on several occasions. HELPFULNESS I am aware of the financial and emotional burden a pets illness can put on the owner, so I will do everything I can to find a solution. I like to break down each problem into smaller components and look at the situation from different angles. I am seen as a dutiful, meticulous person who performs the tasks conscientiously. OPENNESS I am interested in alternative and complementary medicine: I completed classes on herbs and fungi at the University and I apply the knowledge I have learnt here in my everyday life. I like to expand my knowledge in this field as well, having completed an informational course on the food therapy aspects of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
